Hydrophobic Interaction Resins

Hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) is a widely used method in the separation of macro-biomolecules such as proteins and peptides based on the hydrophobicity difference on molecule surface.  The key of HIC lies in the selection of ligands with appropriate hydrophobicity. That is, proteins with weaker hydrophobicity need resins with lower hydrophobicity, and vice versa.
